Something about the way Demi was approaching this contest made you believe she either didn't want to do it or didn't want to talk to you, but since she had agreed to do it, she called you up.

"Demi, I must say it's a pleasure getting to talk to you, even though it certainly sounds like you don't share the same sentiments," you tell her as she converse with you, trying to convince yourself she's not being as standoffish as you think she's being.

"I'm not going to lie John. The last thing I want is for anyone to get the wrong impression about what I am willing to do to just to get a vote," she told you, the wheels already turning in your mind about how to turn that statement around on her.

"That's fair Demi," you tell her, having already had enough of her shit, since it should have already been apparent to her and anyone else doing the contest what it is the guys they contacted would want.

"Well, since I see we are on the same page, please allow me to take you out on the town. I'm not a dinner date kind of girl, but I am the kind of girl who likes showing fans of hers a good time," she tells you, letting you know what day it was she would be available to hang out with you.
