A divine intervention

"Wake up, Syr Mira. You have done well. You endured the weakness of your flesh and the cruelty of demons. You have earned our favor"

Mira could barely register the words, she was only vaguely aware of the golden apparition that stood before her.

"Know that your valor already planted the seed of doubt in your cruel captor. Know that even though you are in chains, your resilience inspires a dozen other women that pray for deliverance. Know that you will yet yield your sword, and be victorious"

Mira wasn't sure if she was delirious or not. But she cracked a smile nonetheless. Martyrdom was an enticing idea to anyone who wore the tabard of a paladin. Her suffering paled in comparison to those that came before her. Their trials inspired her. To imagine she would inspire others in turn... it was larger than her.

"But endure, knowing your path won't be a short one. Endure knowing you will remain under this yoke for many years. Endure knowing you will sire this demon's children, he will be your sword, he will become the greatest paladin that ever lived."

She felt the glowing warmth taking hold of her womb, advancing her cycle so she would become fertile the next time the fiend took her. She opened her eyes to see the sorrowful angel, just before he winked away. The scream that got stuck in her throat could no longer be contained, she wailed her despair.
