A day of no rules

“Look,” Chloe said. “I just texted my mom. And she’s agreed to let us have the house from now until tomorrow. As long as we don’t break anything. So…. let’s have a day of no rules.”

“What does that mean?” Max asked.

“No relationships. No lies. No animosity,” Chloe said. “Just freedom. And games. And just a whole lot of fun. You all down?”

“Sure,” Steph said.

The others nodded in agreement. “Well there’s going to be one rule,” Chloe said. “No pictures or videos. We don’t need a scandal all over Blackwell.”

“What about the cameras?” Max said.

“They’re disabled,” Chloe said. “Now. If everyone is on board, let’s start being honest with each other.”

“Like what?” Rachel asked.

Chloe looked at Steph. Steph’s eyes widened. She looked at Alex who just shrugged. Steph gulped. “I have a crush on Max!” Victoria blurted out.

Everyone turned to her. “What?!” Max shrieked.

“Oh please, don’t you know my bullying is just acts of unrequited love and jealousy?” Victoria asked.

“Right…” Max said.

Steph took a deep breath. “I have a crush on Rachel Amber,” Steph said.

Rachel looked surprised as she looked at Steph. “You do?” Rachel said.

“Oh yeah, a whole big one,” Alex said.

Steph looked at Alex in surprised. “You knew?”

“I had a sense from the moment I met you,” Alex said. “Yeah… I know, and it’s okay. We’re not in a relationship with rules or restrictions.”

Steph nodded. “That… makes sense. Thanks.”

“Anymore secrets people want to share?” Chloe asked.

Rachel looked at Max and Steph looked at Alex. They both sighed and at the same time blurted out. “I have super powers.”
