A Unanimous Decision

Xitlaly smiled, she was aware of the rules around magic pacts, a binding enforced by the bond and rules embedded into the contract in control of the user. A contract is rumored to contain limitless power under the guise of the owner, but it would all go to waste if no one were to sign it. Hence the phrase, let the buyer beware.

Caveat Emptor.

"So you set up a contract in which you are forbidden from committing an act of betrayal..."

"As long as my profits were to remain intact." Nomino finished for her.

"In other words, you found yourself a loophole." The Doll concluded, simplifying the resolve for the Dryad to follow easier. Sans remained speechless, the only magic she was familiar with is earthly. Projectiles, potions, spells and contracts, she would need to get out more if she had no desire to face the consequences for her ignorance.

"We'll do it." Sans answered for them. "On their behalf, this Blight has become a spark, igniting a fire that would only continue to grow. It's flames have reached each of our lives, to allow this to continue would be to permit the fall of all things. Does your friend realize the ramifications of his actions? What in the world could arise such foolishness this power?"

"Don't refer to him as a friend, he's nothing of mine but a regret. I explained my side, it was all business. Good business, and in good business it is better to look the other way if the results provide a value to you. Supply and demand, keep the money flowing to your end."

"And now your greed was taken advantage of by this cunning man." Sans spat back with a sudden glare taking shape. "Because of this foolish mistake, you are partially to blame for this Blight taking hold. I don't care about how you do your business, but I suggest doing a better job then this."

"Sans-"

"No!" She snapped back at her Oni friend, causing her to recoil an outstretched hand. "This is your mother, yes? A Bosu? Well being a lousy bosu has caught up to her, she needs us as much as we need her. Because you're worried too, aren't you? Calling in a Monster Hunter would do no good, as they would be on his side. Being a Monster yourself, he had you in the palm of his hand. Without us, you are fucked. And without you... so are we."

She held back, drawing in a deep breath as everything else in the room stood still.

"We'll help you, because we have to and we need to. But know this, out of respect and loyalty to your daughter I will give you a warning. If any deal or future negotiations result in any, ANY possible consequences leading to a threat to my forest or my friends, I will be coming for you. And I don't care that you held back, because you know the stories of my kind. You know what I am capable of, and I WON'T hold back."

Everyone around there, Xitlaly, Ketsueki, even Nomino's people had nothing to do or say. No course of action, no thought nor word, nothing. Just the sheer level of discomfort can be shown in the eyes of those cloaked figures that had moved into the room and surround them. Speaking in such a disrespectful manner to our Bosu, no words can describe how severe the penalty would be to both the offender and those related by blood to them.

You don't talk down to the Bosu.

It remained still, a thin line of focus and thought before the corners of her lips curved upwards into a growing smile. Nomino let out a cute giggle, keeping the tension into everyone at an all time high. Ketsueki reached for her Kanbo with a firm grip, just in case...

She relaxed once the deep red in her mother lightened up, and what began as a light giggle became an outright chortle.

"I like your new friends, Ketsueki. This one has fire in her eyes, I love it! If ever you desire a sense of employment, someplace that can help provide your... abilities, to good use..." Nomino grinned an upsetting grin for Xitlaly. Being complimented by the likes of her, she didn't know what that meant exactly. "The man you seek is named Sal Oso, and I will gladly guide you to him."

Ketsueki sighed before stepping forward by her green friends side. "C'mon, save that for when we go see this Sal Oso. You can beat his ass with all you've got then, got it?" Sans in turn exhaled before facing her friend with a reaffirmed nod. "So, Sal Oso. Why does that name sound familiar?"

"There is a larger than life church at the center of this city, he runs it."

"Oh."

Nomino nodded before turning around, by this point no longer bothering to adjust the loose shoulder piece of her torn dress. "I can grant you a passage to a secret entrance of his, but doing so means crossing into the city. This secret passageway mind you... is through a hive of Honey Bees. In there, you will find the enchanted flower from which this madness stems from. Deal with it, and give Sal a message from me. You know the one."

"Yes mother." Ketsueki smirked, normally the 'send them a message' trope she would find annoying but this one was much more personal. For her, for Xitlaly, for Sans, all of them have a bone to pick with him.

"Now, I must mention this investment of mine to your success is an ugly one. The chances of victory and survival are slim to none and I am more than confident that our kind are doomed to an existence of endless hormonal rage. If this were a betting game, betting on you is the equivalent of shooting myself in the foot. I do hope you prove me wrong on this one. So, you ready?"

Ketsueki paused, all of them did actually before exchanging looks. The Oni, The Doll, and The Dryad, finally at journey's end. The big finale, the counterattack, the deciding factor to the existence of Monster Girls. Each one had a lot to say yet lack the time for dramatics. Only one motion was needed.

They smiled and shook their heads.

"Fuck it, let's do this."
