A Stunning Success

Dark was supposed to meet up at the local Applebee to meet up with Cherry. Dark dressed pretty casually for his first date with Cherry opting to wear a t-shirt and some jeans. Dark was still a little skeptical about the whole thing but decided to go anyway. Dark got into his car and drove to the restaurant. It wasn’t long until he was there and face to face with the hostess of the establishment.

“Hey, I’m here for a meeting at table C6 for 4 p.m.”

“Ah yes, I have your reservation right here. You don’t have to worry about the food for your first visit since it's paid for by the PDDA services.”

“Great. Free food and drinks are nothing to complain about.”

“I’m sure that you’ll meet the one for you. There have been quite of few people like yourself that have been exactly as you’ve been before. They were skeptical at first but after a few meet-ups with their dates, they found themselves to be extremely compatible. Even just last week, I saw someone hooking up with a Busty Elf Princess. Seeing those couples makes me want to try the services myself but the company has a strict policy against employees registering for the services. Anyway, this is your table and your menu. I hope everything works out for you.”

Dark sits down at the empty table and starts looking at the menu. Dark thought that he should at least figure out what he wants before his date comes. They hadn’t added anything new on the menu so Dark was thinking of just getting some lasagna. While Dark was thinking about what he was going to drink, a waitress made its way over to him. She was a short redhead that wore her hair in a twin tail. She had a cute face and a beautiful smile as she asked what I wanted.

“Oh no, I’m still waiting for my date so could you come back a little later.”

“I see. Well, why don’t I keep you company until your date comes? I’m sure you must be bored waiting for someone who might not show up.”

“I just got here but if you don’t mind leaving once she comes then have a seat.”

“Thanks. By the way, did you know this place has the best apple pie across the nearby realities? You should order some for dessert with your date.”

“Nearby realities? So it's true that this place can connect with different realities and planes of existence.”

“It’s pretty cool knowing that the multiverse truly does exist and that it could be in a place as mundane as this. Just think that with the right tool you could travel to a mirror universe and cause all sorts of chaos.”

“Why an Applebees though? I’m sure there were plenty of other better restaurants that could’ve been chosen.”

“I didn’t think about that, but I assume they didn’t want a place too popular for them to keep track of everything that’s going on.”

“That does make sense. Your pretty knowledgeable about everything that’s going on here.”

“I am something of a genius after all.”

“I agree, your also my date as well aren’t you.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You can drop the act. It’s pretty obvious that you’re my date considering all the clues you’ve left me. You want me to believe that a random employee is willing to forego her duties and possibly get fired just to sit with me. Also, I already know you’re a shapeshifter so transforming into one of the staff or a random person with the uniform would be child’s play for you. Not to mention the fact that my date still isn’t here yet is kind of suspicious.”

The waitress smiles and leans back into the seat.

“I guess I don’t need to introduce myself then.”

Her form shifted and changed before my eyes. Her hair changed from the bright red it had moments before into black. Her skin changed from the light skin tone into the turquoise color that was shown in her picture. Even her outfit changed from the waitress outfit into a black one-piece dress.

“But I will introduce myself anyway. My name is Cherry Winters, Queen of Shiftopia, and I came here to escape the boring everyday life of my homeworld.”

“My name is Dark Valley. I came here with the sole desire of making my desires into a reality. I won’t sugarcoat things, I want to use your powers to create a harem of beautiful women. I don’t care what other people may say or think because with you their opinions won’t matter. My opinions are the only ones that do matter and you’d be able to change their minds with a literal snap of a finger to support that.”

Cherry stared hungrily at Dark and licked her lips.

“I see. You’re exactly the kind of person I’m looking for. I’m glad because I already started laying the groundwork to help you out.”

“You have?”

“Yes, I got here early so that I could mind control the staff here and figure out what’s going on. That’s why I was able to answer all of your questions before. Apparently, after this free date, we would have to go back to our respective dimensions and pay to meet up again. Whether we have a date in my dimension or your dimension doesn’t really matter in terms of cost. I skipped over that step by mind-controlling the staff here to allow myself to stay in your reality permanently. All the employees at this location won’t bat an eye no matter where I go.”

“Nice. I guess we are the perfect match after all. Well, all this talking has worked up an appetite, so let’s enjoy our free meal before we head out to change people for the better.”

“I couldn’t agree more.”

Dark and Cherry ordered their meal and continued to discuss what they wanted to do going forward. What people Dark should go after first and who he should save for the latter? Dark also discussed how he was going to change them? The possibilities were truly endless, and the fun was only just beginning.
