A Secret Experiment; a New Mission

Up in the Watchtower, Dr. Kitty Katari was busy watching other heroes' blood interact with... a nanobot of yours! Ray Palmer, or Atom, had taken one of your nanites for study while you were recovering.

With them disabled, they wouldn't warn you that one of their own was missing...

Kitty, meanwhile had cleverly taken different samples of blood from other male heroes because she wanted to, as she said, 'prevent any disease from affecting the entire League.' With so many to choose from, she carefully dipped your nanobot into the first vial: Green Arrow, and wrote her notes down: 'subject seems to assimilate DNA from blood.' She watched and observed the lone nanite assimilate DNA from the others: Martian Manhunter, Batman, Flash, Shining Knight, Vigilante, and many other men willing to volunteer.

"Don't worry, sir..." she mused softly to herself. Then she frowned as she felt her legs rubbing against each other. "I'm sorry. But I want to help you stay perfectly healthy. Soon, you'll be a shooting star among heroes. Thanks to Atom..."

You and Hawkgirl return to the Watchtower, with you starting to get used to the feeling of warping from one place to another. But as soon as you both arrived, the pads began sparking again.

At least twice as much as the first time!

Engineers that were available, nearby came to investigate. You and Shayera stepped off, and it seemed like they were... mad? They flat out glared at you. Good thing your date was there. "What are you glaring at, hmm?" They returned to their work as you walk towards the exit. If only J'onn hadn't stopped you.

"Shadow. We have a new mission that needs your attention." You sigh and smile sadly at Hawkgirl.

"No rest for the wicked," you mused. She walked on, saying that she'll see you later. You went your separate ways amd reported to the Martian.

"There has been a string of robberies in Metropolis. Strictly banks and jewelry stores."

"Hold on. Then why not ask Superman to handle things?" you ask. Martian explains that Darkseid's planet has been plunged into chaos since his disappearance. You don't know much about that, but you remember hearing that his invasions were merciless. You sigh softly, nodding at him.

"You will also have partners to assist you," J'onn informed.
