A Sarkhai Swordstaff

"It's a Sarkhai Swordstaff," you say, unfolding the collapsible weapon. It was a meter-long staff, each end of which could extend a half-meter long bronzium alloy blade. As such, it could be used as a staff, a polearm, or a dual-saber.

Lana looked over the weapon, a slight frown on her angular face. "Um, that's nice, I guess," she said, taking it and retracting the blades. She didn't seem overly impressed with the gift.

"Anyway, now that you're back, we need to talk about the future of the Alliance. I know you didn't want to be Emperor, but there's no one else that can handle the job. And that job comes with certain responsibilities."
