A Noose!?

You zip open her backpack. If there is any way to return the bag to her, it's in here.

Well, you don't find anything of that sort. You find something else. There isn't any binders, notebooks, or pencils in there. No school assignments. Not even a laptop. The backpack is almost entirely empty. Well, except one thing. You reach deep into the backpack and find something soft and long at the bottom.

You pull it out and stare at it. Someone walking by gives you a confused glare, seeing it in your hands. It's certainly not what you expected to find. Afterall, who expects to find a piece of rope drawn into an expertly tied noose in a backpack. A rope and noose that looked like what you'd use for someone's execution.
