A Lucky Find

The party quickly broke camp and resume their search in the ruins taking advantage that the other group was likely resting. It was several more hours before they at last found a clue. The ruins of what would have been a stable for traveling caravans. Shifting through there, the party found little of notes. As the party began to withdraw from the location to move on, a glint of metal against his torch caught Heinkel's eyes. A small metal box, plain and simple. Heinkel quickly retrieved it and opened it. After a minute of prying and forcing it open, the lid popped open, revealing a folded up letter. Through the faded words, Heinkel could make out it was message confirming something was delivered to Gullnest ahead of time for the recipient of this letter.

"Heinkel time to go!" Arianne whispered, " there's movement not far from us!"

Stuffing the letter back it its box, Heinkel carefully put the box away. Outside, the party was able to spot the torches of what seem to be half a dozen individuals. They were scattered, moving back and forth as if searching for something.

"Let's avoid them," Heinkel suggested as he led the party down another route, hoping to find their way out quickly and hopefully unnoticed.

After what felt like another hours, Heinkel found a route leading up. As they ascended the passage narrowed due to it partially collapsing. The air eventually feel fresher, then a glimmer of day light up a head. What was once a grand passage into the city of the Greybeards had collapse into a small crevice on the mountain side. The party was **** to squeeze through one at a time after taking off some of their gears, tossing them outside before squeezing through to retrieve them. The cold mountain air greeted them, it was almost sunset.

"Let us find a spot to camp and descend tomorrow," Kate suggested, while they have manage to avoid troubles and found a clue, they were tired from their venture through the ruins with little rest.
