A Dead-End Phone Number

You grab the business card that was left in the kitchen and examine it. Turning it this way and that, you notice that part of the card is embossed. Holding it at a correct angle, you can see that it's a phone number. Jackpot!

Grabbing the house's wireless land-line phone, you punch in the number, crossing your fingers, hoping this will give you the answers that you seek.

Unfortunately, it does nothing for you.

You hear a tone - doo, dah, dee. "We're sorry. The number you are trying to reach has been disconnected ..." a voice says. You hang up the phone. Disconnected? You have an unsettling feeling about this.
