A Daycare

“Well,” Jessie began, “I just remembered that I had some important errands to run today. And I need to get more supplies for our bet.”

“Let me guess…” Lauren said, rolling her eyes, “You’re going to drag me along and humiliate me in every store we visit?”

“Not a bad idea,” Jessie responded, “but too late. I wanted everything I purchased to be a surprise when you see it, so I’m dropping you off at The Lil' Patch of Sunshine.”

“The Lil' Patch of – “Lauren began before gasping in terror. “Please no! Not that! Not a daycare!”

“Of course a daycare.” Jessie said with a giggle. “You don’t expect me to let a little girl like yourself run around without supervision, do you?”

"But I'm not a -"

"I know that, and you know that," Jessie interrupted with an evil smile, "but given the way you're dressed, and the way you look, do you think that anyone else is going to know that?"

Lauren opened her mouth to argue, only to close it again and blush as she realized that, unfortunately, Jessie was right. She could only whimper as Jessie continued to lead her by the hand to The Lil' Patch of Sunshine, knowing full well that this was sure to be the most humiliating day of her life…and the two weeks of this bet haven’t even started yet!
