2 Months Later

The time passed after Link and Sophitia had met. First taking her daughter, Link learned her name was Pyrrha back to Athens, but the news that awaited her was saddening. Her father, Archelous, and her mother, Nike, were killed in the initial **** on the city by Tira and her cohorts. Her husband Rothion was fatally injured and died two days later after Link and Sophitia found him. The only other survivor of her family aside from her son Patroklos was her brother, Lucius, who was thankfully away from Athens on an errand for the bakery at the time of the attack. After leaving her children in his care, the two left to seek out the cursed sword.

Along the way they made some new allies. The warrior monk Kilik and his female companion Chai Xianghua, the Fu-Ma Nuke-Nin Taki, Sophitia's sister Cassandra, another old friend of Sophitia in the form of Rock, the japanese pirate Maxi(Though he did not recognize Kilik and Xianghua despite the two of them remembering him), the enigmatic ninja Yoshimitsu, the female thief Luna (This was after she tried to take Link's Rupee bag as Link didn't know how valuable his Rupee's were in this world), the Cepheus weapon merchant Hualin, the shy wind priestess Talim and her companion Yun-seong, Senog Mi-na who was tracking down Yun-seong but choose to join them to destroy Soul Edge, and lastly the former princess of the now destroyed kingdom of Wolfkrone, Hildegard von Krone.

During this, Sophitia often had to act as an interpreter for Link as the others didn't understand his Hylian language. But a little visit from one of the gods(Athena), she gifted Link the ability to speak their language so he can effective communicate with the others. But their trip got side tracked after word of something happening back in Taki's homeland that had to do with her clan. Instead of letting Taki deal with it alone, the others volunteered to assist her. The problem turned out that her master, Toki, finally went full insane and was absorbing demonic souls to gain more power. As the others fought off the corrupted clan, Taki finished off her former master, purifying the corrupt human souls he absorbed. After clearing the bodies, the group decided to rest for the night before heading back to the harbor for Maxi's ship.

This is where we find Link, deep in thought as he looks outside the window, the clear night sky showing the light of the full moon. His mind thinking to his companions before it fell on one in particular.

Author Note: Luna and Hualin are actual characters that only showed up in Soul Calibur 3.
