2, 3, 4, tell the people what she wore

To say Nora was afraid to come out of the locker was the understatement of the year. What she had forgotten was the fact that Amber did not share her fear of showing off. Telling her they had to wear the same thing may have actually made it worse on Nora, as it gave Amber a chance to show off with her best friend.

Her mistake became apparent when Amber pulled out the swimsuits: 2 yellow bikinis with black polka dots. Not particularly itsy bitsy if we’re being honest, quite average among swimwear really, but to Nora they might as well have been strings. If it hadn’t been for Ambers continued insistence, and the fact that Molly was waiting on them, she might not have come out at all. But she couldn’t stay forever. So with much hesitation, they exited the lockers and headed towards Molly, who was currently sitting beneath her umbrella and reading a book.

As she got closer, Nora heard the distinct sound of music, and recognized a particular song playing on Molly’s phone.

Nora blushed, and wrapped her arms around herself as Molly and Amber giggled at her.

“I take it you knew about this.” Nora said to Molly. Molly shook her head yes, unable to form words at the moment, to busy laughing.

“We’re just teasing, Nora,” Amber said, still giggling. “Besides, it’s the beach. We aren’t gonna stand out in these anyway.”

Nora looked around a second, seeing that the few inhabitants of the beach hadn’t even looked in their direction. She was comforted by this, and even laughed a bit with her friends, even if it was a nervous laugh. She unwrapped her arms from her body, trying to convince herself she was fine.

“Anyway, enough fooling around. We can sit around on our towels later.” Amber said, getting a pumped up look on her face.
