Chapter 6
by
Nemo of Utopia
Is Anyone With You?
[Yes, Three Women And A Man, All Driders...]
You look about yourself and see that there are three women and one man in the cave with you, all of whom are Driders like yourself and all of whom are looking just as confused as you are.
You recognize two of them.
One is your some-times-lover Vasolga Orlyandar: a tall willowy manipulative she-wolf who fortunately is also not especially good at long-term planning, meaning she is more of a Pawn than a Player in Drow society. Vasolga is from a minor house and you dominated your relationship fairly easily. Whether that will remain the same now that you are Drider outcastes remains to be seen...
The other is G’eldyl Luassysn Godemtor, a member of another major house, who you know by face and reputation, but have never personally interacted with. She is said to be an accomplished sorceress and shrewd negotiator, with a specialization in combat magic. She is short and plump for a Drow woman, with breasts that would merely be average on a human, but on a Drow woman are remarkably large.
The other two are unknown to you.
The third female is gaunt to the point of being skeletal, the smallest of the five of you, but she has that legendary "lean-and-hungry-look" that marks her as a dangerous woman and not to be crossed lightly. Her equipment, a skimpy silk tunic with a near see-through patch over her breasts and a cheap worn flute, marks her as a "sing-song-girl", the low-rank Drow of loose morals and negotiable affection that play in the tavern houses and caravansary of the Underdark and whose favors can even be bought by high ranked members of the **** races if the price is right. How she afforded to take The Great Test in her 222nd year is a mystery and one you doubt she will reveal any time soon.
The lone male of your group is not especially strong or comely, but he is not an unattractive young man either. Neither muscular, nor thin, nor portly, you should think him very average for a young male drow save for one salient feature: his hair is not the silvery white typical of the Drow but a rich blazing orange not dissimilar to the color of beaten copper and his eyes are likewise not crimson in color but a sparkling green the color of the finest emerald. His equipment, Adimantium breastplate, shield, and rapier, marks him as a dualist or maybe swashbuckler: the sunless seas of the Underdark do have their share of dashing pirate bands, and your city did lie on the coast of one such subterranean-super-lake.
Five of you, each one distinct and with complementary talents, but in the new dynamic, who will be a ruler and who ruled?
Do You Assert Your Dominance Or Play The Long Game?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
