An item to influence some animals, it could be useful.

The egg is still healthy, that's a relief. With its sibblings destroyed, it would be the only one to hatch.

But then Pippa realize that the big monster was the mother... Pippa had believed that was the monster who did destroyed th eggs... oops.

Not a good idée to stand between an egg and a angry mother.... The egg should now be fine with its mom...

Now would be a good time to run, and now would be also a good time for that magic item to do some magic stuff.

Pippa tried to run away with her left hand toward the monster, while trying to activate some spell.

"I didn't do anything, it wasn't me, please leave me alone! AAAAAAAHHHH

Come on, magic ring, do something! Activate! Shazam! Hocuspocus! Let's be friends!"

May be the monster could become friendly, or at least not to consider Pippa as hostile.
