Chapter 77 by Nemo of Utopia Nemo of Utopia

*How Do You Finish That Sentance?*

*"-Go Talk To Their Husbands."*

"Well then, it looks like we have to go talk to their Husbands," you say, and then pause a second.

"Ahuiliztli, why don't you lead the way, because: I've got no idea where I'm going," you admit.

"No need excellency, I've already summoned them," Ichtaca states, and you stand to await their arrival.

It doesn't take long for Itztle and Xiuhcoatl to arrive, and you begin asking them questions about their wives.

"Itztle, Xiuhcoatl, you've been summoned because your wives, Teicuih and Teuicui are being considered for the posts of the chief composer of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Lead Trumpet of that same body. We would like to know more about them and their personalities before We make Our final decision," you explain.

The two men look at each other than Xiuhcoatl asks: "What is it you wish to know specifically Excellency?"

"Tell me about their flaws, everyone has some, in what ways are they less than perfect?" You ask, and the two men look uncomfortable but after a minute each formulates a reply.

"Teicuih's flaw is her vanity, excellency," Itztle begins. "She is very aware of her beauty and talent with her instrument, flaunting both to the point of rudeness. She is sometimes deliberately mean to those who don't show her what she considers Due Deference and almost never admits she's wrong," Itztle explains.

"My beloved Teuicui has no flaws Excellency," Xiuhcoatl says when it comes around to him and you find this annoying until he continues, "but she does have virtues that she carries to excess." He continues, then launches into his actual answer.

"Chief among these is her humility, she cannot understand and accept that she is just as talented and beautiful as her sister, and it makes her melancholy. I tell her all the time that I would not trade her for anyone else, but she can't seem to believe me. She also is too diffident to other women, and won't raise a fuss, even if she should," Xiuhcoatl explains.

You sigh. It's a classic dominant and submissive sibling power dynamic, and unfortunately, it runs the wrong way. The composer/conductor should be the dominant, but it's the player of the pair that's the stronger personality.

You next hear of their virtues, and their methods with the children, but its all superfluous, you already know all you need to.

Pride, or Vanity and Cowardice, these are your two options. You could always decide not to accept either, but, that has its own problems...

*Which Do You Pick?*
