"I was treated like garbage." You confess to her letting your emotions take over. "For maybe three years now I was stuck in the middle of a war between my parents and I was the punching bag. There were times when I would spend several weeks being hit before going to bed at night. The pain of walking into school hiding my newest scars made me feel invisible. I just couldn't bare the **** anymore. So one day after graduating I just booked it hoping something would be better than what I had before."

"Hmm, is that what you're looking for? Safety?" The lady asked.

"Yes" you reply feeling ****.

"You want a better life?"

"Yes. I want to feel free and loved and I never want to be a victim ever again." You find yourself saying to her, as if everything pent up on what you wanted to say all along had finally come loose.

"Well then, if I were to offer you here and now, a change to have a loving life and never have to face your abusers ever again, would you accept?" She asked standing up and offering you a hand.
