Chapter 2 by Reficul Reficul

Continue as Bill? Or maybe a new character?

(Bd) Val Carmen, a homeless bum suffering from withdrawal.

Val was in agony.

He hadn't had a dose of the good stuff- Well actually not the good stuff, he hated being addicted to heroin. He just couldn't deal with the bone pain, like any normal person.

'Fuck you past me! You just had to accept , had to buckle to social pressure! No wonder your sister thought you were adopted.' He thought to himself, trying use hatred to dull the pain.

His thoughts instantly jolted back to reality though, feeling his last meal try to escape his stomach, he forcefully stopped it before its revolutionary ideals could take hold.

At least it wasn't raining, there was a bright side in everything. Well actually, it would probably get his mind off of the nausea.

'-That I really didn't want to think about. Damn feeble and flawed mind.'

He raised his head and looked around for something to once again not think about it, sadly there wasn't a magical cure to his addiction just laying about on the ground.

'Why there hell is there a book?'

Just sitting there, there was a book and a pen orderly arranged in front of him.

He didn't remember that being there.

Actually he was pretty sure it wasn't there before, he had sat here before the withdrawal set in. And he trusted the clear headed him from before more than his current self.

He hated his far past self, not his near past self. Near past self was trustworthy.

With doubt rooted in his soul like the fool he was, he took up the book just to get his mind off of the constant pain.

He opened up the book and read the rules and thought 'Huh, you say you can change reality? Well then, let's see!'

He took up the pen and flipped to another page, thinking about himself.

Surprisingly on the blank page a pretty detailed description of him was laid out for him to read, his subconscious was really going all out. He didn't want to modify anything, he just looked down to the open area below his little wiki page.

In a mix of both trying to find fun in the suffering along with a hidden desperation, he wrote these words:

Recently awakened the mysterious and genetic trait from his ancient ancestors, the complete lack of withdrawal and its symptoms.

Val waited for nothing to happen, contemplating the sad fact that his subconscious mind couldn't hide the withdrawal from him.

'-Wait, where's the pain.'

He was no longer nauseous, he wasn't in pain, he wasn't constantly on the edge of barfing up everything he was keeping stored up to not starve to .

Val was extremely excited, either; This book was the real deal, or his subconscious was way more powerful that he thought.

Both were good, he no longer had to suffer from withdrawal either way.

What does he do?
