On the table is an ancient looking tape recorder. It's a little strange to see one this day and age, but you don't think much about it. You notice there's already a tape inside, so you decide to press the play button. A male voice crackles through the speaker.

"-ut up, I'm starting the recording.

Uh, hey, hello? is this thing running? Oh, it is. Good.

Hi! This is Shibbar speaking, author of the Z-end Times, here with my partner who's currently barricading the door from the imfected horde. Yes yes, the name 'Z-end Times' is a little silly to say, but oh well.

Anyway! If you're listening to this, that must mean that you want to, or are considering to, add your own twist to the story! That's great! Even if you're not, this should at least be a little informative about the nature of this CHYOA.

So first thing first, to write in this story, one must know how the infection works. So how does it work? Well, it's a highly contagious and mutagenic virus that can spread through almost any means. Stagnant water, dirty surfaces, but more likely bites, serious wounds, exchange of bodily fluids like blood and spit, and most of all, any form of unprotected sex. Doesn't matter if you're just getting a handjob or a blowjob or any other kind of job, sex and sexual contact will make you turn. Condoms can prevent it, but up to a point. They are not perfect, and won't stop you from turning if you like to kiss or nibble or suckle or whatever during sex. I know I do. So keep that in mind.

But what does the infection do to you exactly? Well that's more up to you! The sky is the limit! Generally, it turns your skin gray, your eyes yellow, makes your mind dull and simple, and turns your sexdrive up to eleven, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case! Remember, it is highly mutagenic, so things like winged flight, chameleon like invisibility, fish like gills and fins, or even a psychic hive mind is not beyond the realm of possibility! And it doesn't affect solely humans; some animals, plants and fungi are susceptible to the infection as well (Though remember not to write straight up **** as per CHYOA rules. Furries are a-ok). So go wild, but remember to keep it relatively grounded in reality. I know, I know, I'm one to talk, but keep it reasonable.

What else shall I mention? Oh right. This should go without saying, but double check your writing. Again, I'm one to talk, with my sloppy and haphazard writing, but good spelling and grammar is important, though don't worry about it too much; as long as you put effort into it, it's fine.
