'Teresa' called you that night to catch you up on everything.

You were putzing in your room while the computer slowly downloaded an update for a game - one of Randall's favorites. You had managed to keep your mind occupied most of the day after getting the news, when an email came announcing the update. Of course you started the update, but obviously so did everyone else.

The game would have been an excellent distraction. You hadn't played it since the accident, but you suddenly got this idea to take advantage of Randall not playing either so you could catch him in points. However, the slow connection or whatever left you with nothing to do. So you now were actually straightening your room and putting your clothes away while running over alternatives of how to meet up with Randall Monday at school.

It wasn't like Teresa was anyone that you would normally see - she being in classes you took years ago and her locker and homeroom would be in another wing. It would be strange for you to go searching for her let alone be seen with her unless ...

"Oh crap," you mumbled as you stopped and stared blankly at the wall. You had never even considered such a thing, but surely that's what everyone would think seeing you with her, ... him, ... her. Not that it would be so bad since she is, as Randall said when he first woke and found out, a hottie, but knowing that it's really Randall you didn't want people thinking or him actually being your girlfriend.

"Update installation complete. Player loaded and ready."

The computer brought you back to reality, and you sat down and decided to lose yourself in the fanatsy before you got sick from the previous thoughts. It wasn't long before you had lopped of quite a few demons and were advancing towards the castle ahead of most of the other players.

There was one mage that had been trading the lead with you just like Randall use to do, at least when he wasn't far ahead of you, and there were a couple others on your heels. One was the Princess Elva who was quite adept and the other was Bertha Boveene, a cow creature who seemed to fumble more through luck. However, it was the mage you were concerned about especially as he kept setting traps for you and the others as all raced for the castle.

Everything was just about to come to a head when your cell goes off making you trip so the others jump ahead.

"Crap! Hello?" you answer tossing the controller aside and not even looking at who was calling.

"Well, don't sound too happy to hear from me," came a sweet young girl's voice that wasn't exactly familiar.

"Uh, OK. Who is this?"

"Oh, no," the voice sighs sadly. "You've forgotten me already as if I was dead."

"Randall?"

"None other, dude. How's it going?" You felt so relieved and started to gush about how good it was to hear from him, but he just continued on like Randall often did. "Man, I'm glad to finally be out of that looney bin. Tests day in and out, whenever the new parents weren't there. When they were, it was like intense immersion therapy in Teresa's life to try to bring the memories back. I was finally able to get the doctor's to tell them to ease up."

"So you're home? How are you? What ..."

"That new update is something else, huh? Too bad you're such a clutz or you'd be at the castle by now."

"That was you? ... The mage?"

"Not sayin'" Randall giggles very unlike Randall. You don't know what to say, but Randall finally comes back. "Oh, sorry dude. I'm just so into character." He pauses then adds excitedly, "I can do this, and it will be so great. We'll have so much fun."

The thoughts of being Randall's boyfriend ooze back into your mind. "Uh, Randall, I don't think we can be seen ..."

"Got it all worked out, and ... wait. ... Are you thinking ...?" Then the phone erupts with laughter. "Oh, yeah. That would be really sweet. I can see Allison now. She'd be so jealous. She'd ..."

"Dude you wouldn't?" you plead in a panic.

Finally his hysterics fade and he answers, "No, Tim. I'd never do that to you two even if it would be a great prank. But I've got it figured out how we can be get together though."
