Grr... Not enough juice. I could tell she still saw me as a novice witch, and worse than that, a young man. What should be a nice tea-time / magic session was starting to get me frustrated. It was like reading a choose-your-own-adventure story where you keep getting sent back to the same page over and over again. I needed to find some way to change the dynamic between the two of us.

Fruitlessly, I tried to remake the cup over and over again. It was no use. Ah... I'm getting really frustrated.

This repeated so many times that by this point, I couldn't even envision the broken cup in my head. Only the image of a broken cup remained.

"Player-"

Gritting my teeth, I focused on the source of the voice. Before I could stop myself, I'd smashed Virgilia's cup with my magic, making it nearly an exact replica of the broken one I held. Tea and chips of the cup spilled over the table and onto her lap.
