What Does The Prince Have To Say?
"I have come to make my suit for the keeper of the Land Right!"
The prince began simply. "You know my name, but not my purpose: I and my honor Guard have come for the Princess Enola, keeper of the Land Right of this Archipelago. I hail from a land far beyond the ringing ocean, the great island chain of Hawai'i. I am the son of Hawaii's King, King Ahua'ouloki'a, and we heard many moons ago that a new archipelago had been settled. As I am my father's third son, I was sent questing to find it, to find you, Enola. I bring before you gifts from my people, plants in great profusion and lengths of fine sail cloth. We also bring weapons for the princess to arm her warriors and guards made in the traditional styles of our people, and both brides and husbands for diversity of genetics. All these things are yours to keep, save our people who will stay or go as they chose and you allow, all you need do is accept us among you for one turning of the great sky wheel for me to court Yourself and those I have brought to court others or be courted by others as is permitted under your customs."
The Room was silent, no one spoke, all gazes turned to Enola, now she had two suitors, one from home, and one abroad, who would she pick, would she even entertain this foreign stranger?
"The council must have time to deliberate." The Chief Enforcer, Quentin son-of-Duncan, says, and the strangers bow and withdraw, then all eyes turn to Enola.
"He's here for you, the decision is ultimately yours. What should we tell him?" Quentin asks Enola...
