"I am sorry"

I say, trying to genuinely sound regretful, and Millie's face softens a bit, so I add:

"I guess I was just curious."

Millie nods slowly, and says:

"I forget you are 18 now, so growing from a boy to a man, and you are not the young boy you were when your dad and I lived back East." Millie replies, then continues:

"I actually read a bit online about how to deal with these situations and the curiosity you are having, and the best thing to do I've read is to be open minded and answer any questions you have."

I blush a bit, thinking to myself that I hope this does not turn into a long and weird psychological conversation.

Millie looks at me for a while, then says:

"Matt, is there anything you would like to ask me, about sex?"

I cringe a bit, feeling that this is awkward and bound to becoming an embarrassing conversation, so I look down and shake my had.

"Matt, don't be embarrassed, I am your step-mom, so it will be easier for you to talk to me about these things than with your biological parents."

I don't feel like having a birds and bees conversation with my step-mom Millie, so I just look down at the floor and say no.

Millie still persists though, she likes to pretend she is an amateur psychologist so I can tell she must have read a book about this or similar and is absolutely certain she is right. Our slightly awkward back and forth continues, then Millie says:

"Matt, you cannot learn about women and sex from porn on the Internet, so I want to get you comfortable talking to me about these things."

Millie then picks up the black piece of lingerie, and says:

"You seemed curious about this before when I came in, so let me show it to you."

She walks out of the room and goes into her bed room and closes the door. A few minutes pass, and then I hear her door open.
