"All I was proposing is that we study together"

I say, then continue:

"I don't expect what happened last week to happen again."

We have reached Millie's car, so she stops and digs her keys out, and as she is digging for them she says:

"We both know you would be expecting more Matt, so sorry."

I get ready to argue that is not the case, but Millie has found her car keys and is getting into her car. As she gets into her car, she says:

"Matt, you are a lovely guy, some day you will make a woman your own age very happy."

Then, without waiting for me to reply, she closes her door, buckles her seat belt, and drives away.
