Like all other great conflicts, the third world war started as a result of a combination of ideological shifts, expansionism, petty grudges, and unavoidable events. In the year 2044, the migrant crisis had reached its peak, due to the sudden and simultaneous collapse of multiple countries in Africa and the middle east hundreds of millions of poor and people were suddenly displaced from their homes, having nowhere else to go they fled in droves to western Europe and the US causing havoc and inflaming already strained tensions. By the year 2046, the situation had hit its boiling point, mass protests, terrorism, and a few attempted coups had resulted in an extremely weakened western hemisphere that created the perfect scenario for it to be taken advantage of. In response, the United eastern federation made up of Russia, Ukraine, and several other eastern European nations had abruptly and suddenly declared war aimed at the entirety of the western hemisphere in the name of "the preservation and supremacy of the white race" with the aide of the peoples republic of China the USF steamrolled through through the Balkans and into western Europe. Though severely weakened, the West was able to surprisingly put up heavy resistance that managed to drag out a war that was predicted to last little more than a year at most, to 4 long years. By that time, the still economically powerful but extremely unstable China had fallen under the strain of war and even they quickly fell under the control of their once allies. Whether it was sabotage or their own failings is not known even to this day. While they had managed to put up a valiant defense, the western nations were plagued by innumerable crisis and like dominos entire countries completely collapsed one by one, being occupied by the ESF. In the chaos countless national treasures were lost or destroyed, entire cultures and beliefs were replaced or lost, roving bands of criminals and militias had taken swaths of land for themselves, it could only be described as the second dark age, though this did last long. Once sufficiently stabilized, the ESF instituted the so-called "preservation protocols" dissenters were killed, mass segregation was introduced, white only polygyny was sanctioned, propaganda could be found everywhere and even the enslavement of non-whites became official policy among other such things. But just like the first dark age, a brighter one soon followed, once things had settled down and the protocols had become accepted as part of the norm change for the better soon followed, massive scientific advancements were made in things such as space technology, medicine, mathematics, cosmetics, longevity, and others. More and more rights for non-whites were given, and most major conflicts were put to rest and the world seemed to have reached a new level. As the years rolled on and people accepted the new world order completely new cultures, new religions, and new interests took over, sexuality reached a new peak never before seen in history and it seemed like the past had become yet another distant page in human history.
