When Time Stood Still

It was late in the evening when it happened, when Lucy Daniels' life was set on a course she could never have imagined.

It wasn't unusual to find her sketching absentmindedly in her notepad. The hill that overlooked the valley and woods off in the distance was her favourite spot of tranquillity. The warm summer day, while long was beginning to slowly fade into dark as the sun made it's descent behind the edge of the valley. It was as she was beginning to pack up her things that Lucy noticed something out of the corner of her eye, something small in the sky. Lucy couldn't make out the object, it was probably nothing important after all, however something about this object made her take a second look at the object that had seemingly grown in size.

Deep in the pit of her stomach, Lucy got a bad feeling, something was wrong. An intense fear began to take hold of her as she realise that the object was some sort of plane. A plume of smoke was trailing the aircraft and it seemingly began to glide closer and closer to the ground. Lucy didn't have much time to react as she realised that the plane was heading for a rough landing and that it was aimed at the spot she currently occupied.
