The old manor in Swamp-Point

A small car was circulating through a lone and dirty road near the small town called Swamp-Point. The destination an old manor in the swamp. Three persons were sitting aboard the car, Jonathan, Kim, and Sonia. They were college friends and at the end of last semester they had decided to do a road trip together during summer, but not any normal road trip they wanted to see the places that were supposed to be haunted.

The three young adults loved those things. In fact, every week they meet at Jonathan apartment to watch all the supernatural show and even the fake ones. Their vacation was about to end, and they had one more places to go. They had spotted an odd ad while traveling through the town of Swamp-Point. Someone advertises a unique experience. They were offering a 25 000$ to anyone brave enough to spend a night in the old manor in the swamp. It didn’t take more for the group to accept the challenge and spend one more night in a supposed haunted house. In fact, up to now all the houses they had visited during their trip were hoaxes and were not really haunted.

The sun was about to set, and the group really wanted to reach the house before the sun goes down, because they could easily lose their way in the swamp. Finally, after two hours traveling the lonesome road of the swamp, they made a turn and saw in the distance on a small hill the old manor. The manor looks like many another old plantation manor here in the south. The manor was well preserved for a place like here. Nothing was broken on the house. It just seems old and abandoned. Jonathan parked the car in the courtyard and turned looking at both girls sitting in the back.

“Here we are. Should I call the number in the ad like it said or do we enter right away.” Asked Jonathan turning the keys to stop the car.

“Way ahead of you sweetie. I’m calling right now.” Said Sonia moving her phone to her ear. Jonathan and Sonia began that trip as friends, but something else had developed between them. They don’t know if it’s love or only interest, but they began having sex on regular basis. Kim wasn’t too happy about the situation. At first every night they used to hang and talk all evening but has time gone by she found herself alone in her room while Jonathan and Sonia had sex in the other. For Kim, the last part of the trip was kind of dull, but Sonia was still her best friend.

“Can we not stop here tonight and just go home. I’m sure it’s a fraud like all the other.” Said, Kim

“Yes, we are in front of the mansion. Yes, we saw the ad. 25 000$ each if we stay all night. O.K. I understand no problem. Thank you bye.” Answer Sonia while she hangs up her phone.

“Here the deal we need to go inside and spend the night we can sleep if we want, but we can go out only when the sunrise tomorrow morning if we leave before we are disqualified. We win we got 25 000$ each. With all the experience we have with a false haunted house I think we can win this.” Said Sonia to the group

“What do you say Kim the last one and we head home. There’s room waiting for us inside. It’s so obviously false.”

“O.K. Let do it one last one, but please tell me there no catch.” Answer Kim.

“Maybe a small catch, but I don’t believe the man that told me this. He said the last group that tried the challenge ran away in the middle of the night and they were never the same after the experience. I think he said that to me because he sensed that we could succeed the challenge. Are we ready for this?” ended Sonia
