It was Saturday morning and I like everyone else in the world was glued to my t.v waiting for “The Guru” to announce who he had chosen to be his replacement. It came as a shock to everyone when he announced his retirement last month. Then he announced that he would be taking applications from anyone and everyone which was surprising. Not just anyone could do what he does but that wasn't going to stop me from putting my name in the pile. The month that followed was full of constant debates about which celebrity or surgeon would be chosen and now we were about to find out. “The Guru” stepped up to his podium and began to speak “ Over the past month I have poured over millions of applications and have found my successor” the crowd cheered. “I am sorry to say he is not a big name like you were speculating but I assure you he is the best choice person to take this position of mine. Anyway I hereby declare and transfer my title and foundation to…….. John doe.” the crowd began to mermer. I was sitting my my chair with my jaw on the floor. I didn't believe it, I must be dreaming. Then a picture of me was put onto the screen. The Guru made his leave without another word and the broadcast came to a close. What was I supposed to do now, no doubt my family had also seen what had happened.
