Sacrificial Supremacy

Throughout the multiverse, a truly absurd number of lost artifacts found their way into the hands of mortals, whom immediately used them to fulfill their desires. Whether it be perverted, greedy, or mundane, the tools of gods were oh so frequently used and abused by mortals.

This artifact is different. It was not lost by a deity forging a new corner of the multiverse, nor was it created as a byproduct of a universe' birth. No, this artifact was deliberately made by a divine, whom wanted to mess with mortals. Whether it be some jewelry, a lamp, a notebook, a cellphone, or any other form that mortals will gravitate towards, the artifact will impose a simple dilemma upon them:

Fulfill every single one of your desires; change the world to be exactly how you want it to be, but...

You cease to exist.

Not only do you cease to exist, all traces of the original You are wiped from history, or substituted with a replacement.

Not only that, but sometimes the artifact won't even inform the user of this ultimate cost, and simply trigger upon being touched, launching itself to a new universe to inflict chaotic change.

It begs the question...
