Konohagakure's outsider
Chapter 1

You are alone. But that's ok, you're used to it.
Since a child you know not who your parents are. The story that you have heard was that you had been left at the gates of Konohagakure during the night. Nobody knows where you came from, who you came from.
The Third Hokage being the generous and loving man he is took you into the village with open arms. He treated you as if your family had been part of the village for generations.
He was the only one.
The rest of the village treated you for what you were. An outsider. You see the reputation of Konoha to the outside world was a good one. A village full of friendly people who treat all with kindness. The reality, however, couldn't have been more polar.
As an outsider you are nobody. You have gone days without water, weeks without food and a lifetime without companions. You had to hunt in the forests alone, which was never easy for a child, you had lost count of the number of times you had been sick from eating the wrong kind of plant just to survive.
Why you?
Although the Hokage had accepted you into the village, he is still the Hokage, he is a very busy man. But he was the only father figure you had ever known. The only person to treat you as a human. It was by his order that you had been given the chance to go to the ninja academy.
Today is the day, the day you attend the academy for the first time.
"Great, here we go..." you sigh.
Looking in the mirror you see the numerous scars all over your body from years of surviving in the wilderness. Not wanting to show weakness to the people of the village you had begun wrapping your entire body in bandages until only your pure violet eyes were on show. Throwing on a pair of black slacks and a loose fitting jacket you head out the door.
Walking down the street to the academy was just like always. They don't even look at you.
Upon entering the gates to the academy you can't help but notice that nobody was here.
"The hell? Where is everyone?" you say out loud.
"They are already inside" the voice from behind frightens you.
You jump around on the spot.
Spiky silver hair, face mask and his headband over one eye. You've seen this man before, this is the Jonin; Kakashi Hatake - The Copy Ninja.
"Am I late?" you ask
"No" he replies in a relaxed voice.
"Then why-"
"Why is everyone already inside?" you get cut off.
"Yes."
"So Lord Hokage didn't tell you? Basically kid, your enrollment into the academy is conditioned. As we know nothing of your familial roots we have a test for you to take before we allow you to proceed with classes"
"A test?" you query.
"Yes, it's simple really. You know how to weave chakra, right?"
"I do" Years of survival training to eat in the wild has granted you this at the very least.
"Excellent. Well then..." he says as he opens his right hand. "Take this paper."
"I don't understand, what does paper have to do with anything?"
"You see kid, in general, every person's chakra has an affinity towards one of the five basic nature transformations. Affinity can at times be genetic, or at least common to a particular family, for instance, the Uchiha clan have a strong affinity towards the fire transformation. One's affinity can be determined using pieces of paper made from a special type of tree that is grown and fed with chakra. When this so-called 'Chakra Induction Paper' is exposed to even the slightest hint of chakra, it reacts according to the chakra's latent element, this is how we are going to determine how best to train you, or if you even have any potential at all." He explains. "See?" He weaves chakra into the paper and it crumples up. "When the paper crumples like that it means that I have an affinity for the lightning transformation."
"Ok then, so all I do is touch this paper with my own chakra?"
"Yep."
"Here goes nothing..." You take the paper and weave chakra into your fingertips.
The paper split in half, one side turned into dirt and crumbled away, the other ignited and burned to ash.
_"Uhh....?" _You question.
"Well, I wasn't expecting that."
"What?"
"You have an affinity for 3 chakra elements, earth, wind and fire," Kakashi explains.
"So what does that mean?"
"It means you can go." He says bluntly.
Your annoyance at the sudden lack of explanation is evident.
"I have to report this to Lord Hokage, go and see Iruka."
Kakashi disappears into a puff of smoke.
Annoyed you go into the academy, as you push open the large door to Iruka's classroom the mood changes. Silence now fills the room.
Kakashi arrives at the Hokage's office.
"I gave the kid his test, Lord Third"
"And is it as I expected?"
"It is."
"So... A Kekkei Tota. Just like his father..."
"Yes, Lord Third. Shall I eliminate him?"
"Not yet. I brought him here for a reason, we may still have a use for him."
"But Lord Third, if 'The Fence Sitter' was to find out, all of Konoha could be in danger."
"I know, Kakashi... It is a risk that I am willing to take."
"Lord Third, the boy is dangerous. If he stumbles on the power himself, or if he even learns how he came to be in Konoha... He could wipe out the entire village"
"I know, Kakashi, but he is also a great weapon if sharpened and pointed at the right target."
"Kekkei Tota - Particle Style..." Kakashi mutters to himself. "What a bother."
