Life as a Greek demigod

The first alarm since school ended sounds like freedom.

You slap a hand on the alarm button and sit up to glance blearily at your room. Papers scattered on the desk, clothing haphazardly in or hanging off the edge of the laundry bin. You take a moment to lean your weight on your hands before shaking yourself out of your half-asleep stupor.

You wake up and stretch like every other morning, same bed, same room, same everything. You get out of bed and walk to your dresser, pulling out a black hoodie, jeans and a comical t-shirt (something saying, "Exercise? I thought you said extra fries"). You walk into your bathroom and look in the mirror what looks back is a guy with sharp blue eyes, messy black hair, and a scar on your upper lip (courtesy of a asshole in school hitting you with a yardstick when you were a brat). You hop into a shower, while you’re scrubbing yourself down you wonder why your other parent left, why the world seems to be out for you, why you had ADHD and dyslexia, what you plan to do to the rat bastard who knocked up your parent and split. You hop out of the shower with steam wafting off the water and wet hair plastered to your scalp. Nabbing a towel and hastily rubbing yourself down, you walk into your room and play some video games, and right as you boot up the old game system you hear a knock. "Yeah who is it?" you ask, keeping your eyes on the screen as the game can't be paused.
