Jake's Mom

It was saturday morning, after a long week at school. You've been drowned with homework and exams all week , that you haven't found the time to see and spend some time with your best friend Jake Lewis.

Since you were both kids, you've been good friends. From playing together in the sandbox, to being in the same locker in High School. But for the past week, you and Jake haven't cross path or even called each other. To finally break this long silence, you decide to head to his house, which is two street down yours.

You arrived there around 11:45am, about the time Jake usually wake up. You knocked three hard times on his wooden door, and wait. Normally, he's the one who answers, but this time, it was a charming mother, Amber Lewis, that you know very well. Throughout the years you've hanged out with Jake, you've met her many times. When Jake asked her if you could sleepover at their house, she would always accept and be glad you were around.

" Well, Good morning , Tyler! How are you today angel? " she says, holding a bowl of pancakes , surprised to see you.

" Hello, Miss Lewis" , you answer back , trying to be polite after knocking so loudly on her door.

" Oh please, sweetie, call me Amber" , she says, placing the bowl of pancakes behind her , on a small table. " Now, Jake just left to go grab his bag at school, since all of his homework for the weekend is in there, but you can come in and wait for him here" .
