DC UNIVERSE: Hero or Villain

You sat in your office one night working on your little trinket. You put off your work trying to figure out how to hook up a piece of alien tech, which was a strange circle or oval shape, to a metal rod and sprang. You received the tech from your old college friend Lex Luthor. He gave the strange tech to you during Christmas when you visited Metropolis.

He didn't give you any reasons to why he gave it to you. You always thought he gifted it to you because he knew you would be able to figure it out. He never said anything like that but you hope he did. Maybe you could figure it out and get a better job then move out of your run down apartment.

As you fumble around with the small circle alien tech it started to hum loudly. You knew you should have jump back but you reach forward your finger touching the humming middle part.

The tech immediately wrap around your wrist causing you mind numbing pain. The alien tech started to dig deeply into your skin and wrist. You fall on to the ground trying to scream but nothing came from your mouth. You past out from the pain, blood dripping from your lips.

You woke up in your office. You quickly got up and look down at your wrist. The device was gone. You shook your head. It couldn't have been a dream, you thought to yourself.

As you begin to walk to your door of your office. It swung open their stood your fat ugly boss Samantha Paris. She been riding your ass for four long years.

"Where are you dip shit?" She said in a husky voice.

You didn't know what she meant. You was right there in front of her. You was about to speak when your long time friend, Jeff Golden, walk in too.

"Where is Derek?" He ask strangely not seeing you either.
