Character Creation

Character Creation

The power to create characters

Chapter 1 by CandidBandit CandidBandit

Character Creation is found in many games, most usually within the RPG genre.

The common format of creating a character is the use of presets. The one playing the game would see an avatar on screen and be given the chance to tweak the avatar to their liking using already established parameters. They would see the avatar change in height, weight, hair colour, gender and any other premade appearances right before their eyes. Perhaps they would also get to fill out their own backstory, though that is less common.

But what if someone were to be suddenly gifted with the ability to create life-sized and realistic characters in the real world? Characters who, for all intents and purposes, were “real”. At least in function.

What if the blessed individual with this ability could make more than one?

Imagine such an individual sitting in their room, suddenly discovering that they could make a person, and for the next few hours would watch as the created avatar changed appearances in real-time. From short to tall. From young to old. From fat to fit. From male to female. All until they found the right parameters for them.

Imagine being able to also tweak the “personality” of the avatar to better act as a human might. Or even as a servant. The created “person” could be made to be cheerful, timid, brash, shy, energetic, quiet, obedient, rebellious or any combination that the blessed individual would like.

And even thoughts. The blessed individual may even implant what type of thoughts the avatar is likely to think in relation to the maker. Whether they see them as their master; their family; a lover.

All these in combination; Appearance, gender, personality and thoughts, perhaps even clothing. And the ability to make more than one, as well as the ability to make them appear and disappear at will for the makers own convenience. This is the ability that will find its way to a blessed individual somewhere in this world.

Not only that, but depending on the individual and their own knowledge of the world around them, the number of fully made presets will differ. For example, already existing people, whether real of fictitious, may be created by the blessed individual. A celebrity perhaps? A comic book hero or heroine? A character from an animated series? Of course, all characters who were once two dimensional or CGI will get the most realistic presets available for them.

Imagine a blessed individual making Emma Watson, Harley Quinn or Logan in the middle of their room. Making them as realistic in their mannerisms but with love or servitude towards their Maker. Or even indifferent towards them.

Set their parameters and have them live their lives out or put them on pause to either make changes or have your way with them. The choice is ultimately the Makers.

And the Maker is you.

But who are you?
