Seemingly overnight, a new organization known as the 'Onyx Foundation' established itself in Western Africa. Led by an ex-patriot African-American and with an extraordinary amount of capital, the organization created several companies, non-profits and security forces which quickly established dominance in several countries. Using this money, the organization imported the world's best minds with promises of money, academic freedom and excellence and established the Onyx University. The first graduating class of 2020 was only 200 students. Half of those students were African citizens, hand picked from around the continent and the rest were underprivileged youth from all around the world. They left the organization changed. They were stronger, smarter and taller than their peers and they all swore loyalty to the Onyx Foundation. They were the first of many.

Within 20 years, a quarter of all business executives worldwide were graduates of the Onyx Foundation. Most actors, politicians and other public were graduates or in relationships with graduates. Interracial, polygamy, polyandry and other non-standard relationships became commonplace in even the most secular parts of the world. Housewives talked about their Bulls in public and even attended functions together.

At the center of this change was the Onyx Foundation which transformed itself into the most important organization on the planet. It funded regime change all around the world, placed its sympathizers in key places and asserted its influence by buying up controlling majority shares of media companies. This led to a lot of tension with the old ruling class. Several Onyx members committed "suicide" under mysterious circumstances, planes were shot out of the sky and information about the organization was leaked. This tension between the Onyx Foundation and the rest of the world defined the mid 21st century.

On January 1st, 2050, everything changed. A virus appeared in all corners of the globe. For certain men, it made them stronger, smarter and alpha beasts of men. For others, it turned them into weak-willed, shells of their former cells. For woman, it turned them into walking wet dreams with a psychological addiction to the strongest men they can find.
