Background:
Amelia is the last but highest ranking surviving member of her bloodline. She knows that if she finds her destined mate that she will be able to birth more purebloods and will not have to augment her forces with turned vampires. She loves all of her children but is in need of purebloods to strengthen her forces to combat the humans. She does not want war but will not allow her family to be extinguished by human hatred and fear. Humans know that if Amelia finds a mate Humanity will fall to the Vampires forever, and because of this the United Ministry of Human Preservation(UMHP) have called upon the aid of the Red Bloods a group of Vampire hunters to kill Amelia at all costs.
Jason's family was killed in the Clash* and he as been a orphan until he turned 18 and moved on to explore the world. He traveled a bit after high school but decided to start college after he found out his only sibling had passed away earlier that year. His college experience isn't the best but he manages to gain some friends. He turns 21 and begins to Awaken*. At first he doesn't notice anything besides a nonstop headache. As time progresses he gets a hunger that he cannot sate with regular food alone. One day his previous girlfriend was on her period and he smelled one of her used tampons as she was flushing it away. His hunger grows uncontrollably and he leaves the house. Over the course of a few weeks he gets weak from the hunger and while having sex he bites his girlfriend. She leaves him in fear and reported him to the UMPH. In the late evening of his finals for the semester he is kidnapped by UMHP agents for suspected actions against the Empire of United Nations(EUN). He is examined and tested only to be proven as being fully human(His Awakening can only be completed by Amelia). During a school provided break he is walking towards the student center when he is spotted by a mysterious stranger.
Timeline:(No measureable timeline)
-12 months: Vampire Consortium(VC) reveals itself to Humanity asking for peaceful relationship between the two species. Humanity being fearful declines and promises extermination of the new foe.
-10 months: Empire of United Nations(EUN) launch first attack on VC and after pleading with the FUN for a compromise they respond by launching a Tactical Nuclear Missile on one of their heavily populated cities.
-6 months: Queen Amelia awakens as Jason begins to Awaken and they begin the search for him. EUN notices VC movement and dispatches Red-Blood their elite Vampire Hunting unit to observe/report/neutralize any threats to the empire.
Current Day: Begin Narrative
Notes:
*Awaken: Fullblood vampires who have fully unlocked their potential.
*The Clash: the First attack the EUN has launched with the VC nuclear counterattack.
* All vampires in the story are either turned or pureblood. In the universe there is only 1 pureblood. Amelia and is protected by a group within her society called True Blood: turned who revere Amelia as a god and protect her with their lives.
