Aether Guardians

The Five Kingdoms of Arstoria had been embroiled in the Great Ancient War for centuries. The war came to an end when Kalace, the Wizard King conquered the five lands and brought them under his rule.

Kalace, the Wizard King of Arstoria, conquered all of his opponents who were unable to deal with his overpowering magic.

When Kalace had united the five kingdoms, he brought peace to the warring kingdoms and was revered and celebrated by his later generation.

Kalace, however, had a dark weakness in his magic and self. His aether could only be channeled after the lust energy had been cleared from his aether.

Wherever Kalace went to conquer, he brought his harem of female thralls to satisfy his lust and help him reach into his aether to unleash overwhelming magic on his foes.

Kalace had an unquenchable thirst and desire for women. His constant needs not being satisfied. He sought them all out. His descendants number in the millions and scatter throughout the five Kingdoms.

A few of his descendants attained a fraction of the power of his aether, their blood slowly diluting and growing fainter to the reach of their ancestors, the Wizard King. The small few of his descendants that could reach well and far into his aether and channel his power were known as Aether Guardians.

A thousand years had passed. In that time, the Kingdoms of Arstoria broke and scattered back into the five kingdoms and regional conflict without a Wizard King to unite them. Skirmishes and war tension run high in the borderlands and seas of the Five Kingdoms with the power of Aether Guardians tipping the balance.

The Aether Guardian was a revered title with many vying to be the new Wizard King and many wanting to attain the rank of Aether Guardian. They, like their great ancestor Kalace, could only reach for magic with their lust energy drained from their pool of Aether. It was said, that the greatest the lust, the greater the pool that they drew from. And in turn, the citizens in their duty would make themselves available to the Aether Guardian in service for protection.
