A Human in the World of Monsters

You find yourself lying on a bed of flowers, having broken a fall which (by all possible means) should've killed you, yet here you lie very much alive and still breathing. You sit up carefully to inspect yourself for any damage, quickly skimming over legs clad in your lightly dirtied brown boots and thigh high socks, you can feel a bit of pain when you push down on certain spots, only being minor bruises here and there. Looking farther up at your brown shorts and under your baggy blue and purple striped sweater, again only finding maybe an occasional bruise, but overall perfectly fine and healthy. A miracle after that fall.

You slowly rise your feet and collect your thoughts, trying to ration out a plan for yourself. Looking up you find you have no chance of climbing out, leaving your only other option to head deeper into the cavern, and after walking only a few steps in you start getting a slight uncomfortable chill, as if something horrible may be nearby. Arming yourself with a stick lying on the ground nearby just in case and mustering up your courage to make your way through the caves, you feel unsure of what may lie ahead...

Just the very next room over you find yourself in a rather large and dark room with a patch of grass with a singular flower atop, it would be calming if it didn't also have a face with a smile and black beady eyes to stare into even the most sinful of souls. Getting closer to examine this... Thing... its grin only seems to widen as it finally speaks "Jee, sure has been a while since a human fell down here. Well I guess a little greeting is in order. Howdy! I'm Flowey, Flowey the Flower!", you both internally laugh and panic at this sudden development, laugh due to the rather simplistic name of the flower, and panic because THE FLOWER CAN FUCKING TALK. With that out of the way, He... she... It Continues its greeting "Hmm... I suppose your new to the Underground, aren'tcha? Golly, you must be so confused right now!" that was an understatement... "Someone ought to teach you how thing work around here. I guess little old me will have to do! Ready? Here we go!"

Suddenly, you feel a strange rush of wind as the colours from the world seems to melt away, and with it comes a new sensation of lightness and a red glow coming from below. Looking down to examine you see a red heart floating just inches from your chest, touching it lightly sends a little jolt of... Something through your body, enough to make you bounce back, but it wasn't painful in fact it actually felt kinda nice. You look back up to see the flower readying what you can guess is the next part of its greeting.

"See that little heart floating there? That right there is your Soul, the very culmination of your being! Your Soul starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV. What does LV stand for? why, LOVE, of course! You want some LOVE, don't you?" You start getting a slight stranger danger vibe now. "Don't worry, i'll share some with you!" After that, it winks and sticks its little tongue out at you, almost a little charming if you had to say. Very shortly after thinking that, little white pill shaped objects float up from behind the flower, hovering and spinning gently in place "Down here, LOVE is shared through... Little white... "friendliness pellets." Are you ready? Move around and try to grab as many as you can!" After that, the said pellets make their way towards you slowly and picking up speed, at that moment time seems to slow down for you as your mind weighed out two options, This flower seemed unusually creepy to you, and with the way he said Friendliness pellets made you a little suspicious. But for all you know Flowey could actually be trying to help you out here and it's not very fair to assume something is dangerous after offering to help you out here, after all, this IS your first time in the underground and you don't know how things work here, right? right...?
