The governments of the world didn't become the regime overnight, it was a gradual descent on a slippery slope. As technological progression eclipsed mankind's ability to regulate it, the world was slowly overcome by its own shadow elements. As with all technologies, the advent of personalized medicine, AI, computer/brain interface, and many other breakthroughs came great potential for both good and bad. Unfortunately for the citizens of the world of 2184, it contains far more examples of the latter than the former.

Corporate, as the global government is colloquially referred to, has set in motion a new initiative to "provide the lives of humanities populace with happiness and meaning." This initiative is to divide the world into a series of sectors, each with its own social structure and ideals. A kind of government imposed culture. We begin our tale at the advent of this initiative, concentrating on several individuals to develop a broad perspective of the lives humanity lives in this Orwellian world.

Sectors (thus far, feel free to invent one):

Sector 17: Sappho Initiative
Defining Characteristics:

• Solely Female
• Ubiquitous Homosexuality
• Ubiquitous Misandry

Solely populated by women who have undergone "Sappho programming," resulting in a deep seated hatred for men and a love of feminine qualities and females in general. Like most Sectors, all citizens are screened and harbor biomechanical enhancements that improve their health and athletic capacity, resulting in an "above average average." Social hierarchies based on a loose gerontocracy, where older women typically have small harems of younger women who both serve and learn from their matriarch. Sexually, Sector 17's society is otherwise very open. It is not uncommon for women to have multiple partners, occasionally entering into sister-wife commitments with more than one woman in unusually stable love triangles.

Sector 19: Elektra Initiative
Defining Characteristics:

• Ubiquitous
• Males are elevated but their control is dependent on their families approval.

All incoming citizens in Sector 19 undergo intense genetic screening and normalizing as well as "Elektra programming" resulting in specialized arousal for members of their family of the opposite sex. As a result, genetic irregularities that normally arise from inbreeding have been largely eliminated and it is common for families to form "dynasties" of sorts. Men are generally attracted to the women in their family while women are drawn to and compelled to please their sons, brothers, and fathers in that order. A girl will be primarily attracted to her father until she has a blood-related brother, to whom she will form a stronger bond, and if she has a son he will be her ideal lover, eclipsing her father and brother. Many females elect to continue their relationships with their fathers and brothers but on average most phase out previous lovers/relatives with each new bond. All sexual bonds begin to form at sexual maturity at approximately age 18. As a result of this migration of female attentions to younger generations, older males are often left partnerless in their later years. This results in some resistance from men to having children who are not guaranteed to be female (an expensive and regulated procedure). Extra-familial sex and partnerships are not unheard of but they tend to be stigmatized.

Sector 12: Hercules Initiative

• Males Deified
• Female/Male Ratio of 100/1

Exceedingly few men meet the rigorous standards and testing required for entrance into the Hercules Initiative, most of the men in Sector 12 were engineered and grown on site. Sexual dimorphism is extremely apparent: Males stand approximately 1.5-2 feet taller than females, harbor advanced muscular development, and more often than not have abnormal aesthetic qualities such as metallic shaded hair or golden eyes. The female populace is largely unaltered, aside from the usual medical treatments involved with entering into a sector and a susceptibility to a slew of pheromones produced by the males of Sector 12. As a result, men are worshipped as living gods by most of the female populace. It's become something of a right of passage for new arrivals to resist their attraction to the men at first, only to eventually give into their biology. 99% of births inside Sector 12 are female as a means to propagate this culture.

Sector 23: Galatea Initiative

• Government Regulated Male/Female Pairing
• Female/Male Ratio of 1/1

Individuals who are sent to Sector 23 are usually those who were deemed unsuitable for other sectors, they are thoroughly processed and normalized before release into the populace. As a result of this screening and follow up treatment, Sector 23 is largely comprised of 'vanilla' humans. It's incoming populace is the average in almost every easily observable way. The men remain this way, analyzed and personality tested for three to five years as they go about their work, before they are assigned a female partner. This partner has not only been selected to best compliment their male companion but also 'blanked' and rebuilt from the ground up. This includes everything from personality and preference reprogramming to somatic and even germline genetic manipulation for whatever the desired trait may be. Male partners report a 99.99974% satisfaction rate after five years of living with their female partner, a number that has steadily increased as the process has been refined. Accordingly, Sector 23 is quite literally populated with 'everymen' and the wide variety of their complimentary female counterparts.
