You are one of the warlike race of the "C" (As most people call you, being unable to pronounce your name.) One of your members was part of the scouting party that first discovered the first jump gate that led to Earth in the late 1800s and later was caught on camera by one Howard Philips Lovecraft who turned you, with some artistic licence, into the arch villain of his 'Cthulhu Mythos'. The photograph was later recovered, but the damage was done, when humanity at last reached out into the outer system and made contact with the Union of Sapient Beings they freaked right the hell out that 'Cthulhu' was one of the commanders of the welcoming party.

Your race, though 3 meters tall and a warrior culture, have been solid and civilized members of the USB for over 10,000 years, more than 100 generations of your kind, serving with distinction in the Army and Navy, and you are no more the high priests of some idiot god of madness than you are Traitors to the USB, but humanity would not listen.

They closed off contact, and for 20 years were isolationists and non-members, not that they really had a choice in the matter, their culture was MUCH to xenophobic and militaristic to be allowed to interact freely with the rest of the USB.

Then came the Prophet Ronald 'Teriyaki' Hildebrand who united the earth via mass media and two simple messages:
1: "The USB wants to help us!"
2: "Alien girls love human cock!"

As these messages were both: A; True, and B; Happened at a time when earth was experiencing a massive shortage of both resources and available women: not to mention the fact that even the USB had to admit that he was a brilliant orator and statesman; Ronald managed to convince the earth to put aside it's differences and join the USB.

Thus it is that you, 200 odd years later, live on Space Station 69, a major recruitment and trans-shipment point for humans joining the Army and Navy of the Union of Sapient Beings.
