It tears over the ground between you, you estimate you have three seconds before it reaches you.

you stare into those terrible orange eyes.

you strike.

The bear swings its massive right paw at your head. you duck it, and spin inside its guard. you throw your weight into a fast, straight kick into the monster's face. It stumbles, then turns to look directly at you, snarling in rage. Only to find your sword plunging point first into its right eye.

the beast twitches, its life leaving it, before finally slumping down to the ground, dead.

You pull your sword free, and wipe the monster's black blood off it's surface before sliding it back into the scabbard at your waist.
