the cat girl

Looking at his options, White decides to talk to the cat girl; for some reason, there was something of about her, more specifically that her ears, where they surgically built into her skull or could she remove them and then if so, what purpose do they serve; White had to find out more about her so he walks over to her who was already deep in conversation with someone else; but White didn't know if there would be much more time for small talk; so he took a more abrupt method and walked over to the girl.

As he approached, he noted how the ears twitched in his direction slightly as he approached.

"umm, hi"

the girl turned to face White, this was the first time he got a good look at her face from up close. Her eyes stood out the most, a slight blueish silver and without pupils, White was taken aback by this, he didn't think of the possibility that she could be blind, so where her ears and tail some form of sensory enhancers? This only amplified Whites curiosity.

"Hello... can i help you?"

"uh yeah, can I ask you a personally question"

"...depends, whats the question?"

"You ears, what are they for?"

"they're designed to enhance my hearing, with these i can hear a larger range of frequencies at much quieter volumes. The shape allows me to focus my hearing in a certain direction see."

White watches as she makes her ears swerve side to side, pointing in different directions.

"interesting", White notes, "So using that you can gather direction and distance?"

"yes exactly!"

The girls personality was far colder when you started the conversation White watched as it became much more open and extroverted; she must have been taken back by your abruptness.

"well, not distance, not unless I focus really hard."

White was now very intrigued,

"what happens in they break? wouldn't that leave you blinded"

"not entirely nor for long, smaller microphones where built into the headband as a back incase the main ears fail, its not perfect, but its better than nothing as I take of and replace my headset with a spare."

"so your head set can be taken of"

The girl nods and bows her head, giving White a clear view, he watches as she shows him as she flipped two flat switches placed inside her ear lobes (to make them hard to reach by villains who knew this weak point) in her headset and she took it of, showing it attached by two circular sockets of sort, with a large hole in the middle surrounded by 3 smaller holes. After showing White her headset for a few moments from different, she went about putting it back on, which interestingly went on much faster than it went of.

"I don't think I got your name?"

"White, Drew White; yours?"

"Fela, just Fela; its a pleasure meeting you Drew."

"Hey Fela, do you mind just calling me White, I don't like the name Drew very much, a bit old fashioned"

"ok then, White, do you want to hear a secret."

"ok"

White whispers, they both giggle slightly,

"Fela is also my surname, my real first name is Victoria"

Fela said putting on her thickest British accent she could muster.

Drew was about to ask how her headset was powered, batteries seem a bit heavy and he couldn't see any solar panels so White was clueless; but he never got to ask as Fela was pulled away by the person she was talking to originally before Drew abruptly ended there converse.

White was left alone once again, White thinks it would be beneficial to talk another candidate hero.
