Everyone was staring. Many were shaking their heads. Some were openingly laughing. The look of contempt on Daniel's face made Maria feel the most shame though.

"God, look at her!"

"Barely has anything to show off!"

"Wish someone hotter was wearing that number!"

"Did she really think people would be impressed? With that body?!"

Maria heard the commentary from all around. She finally had the sense to cross her arms over her chest.

"Oh, so now your embarrassed!" Daniel said. "You came here practically naked, throwing yourself at me, and now that it doesn't work you're embarrassed? Man, how vain can you get?"

"YEAH!" Someone yelled.

In the background Maria saw Cassie, smirking a superior grin...
