"So, Kayley," said William. "you look like you love your new job."

"Oh, so far it's great," she said.

"Your boyfriend work here?" said William probing.

"No, he works elsewhere. Um, do you need help with your luggage?" Kayley looked around for William's luggage.

"No, I have none. I'm going to buy some new things while I'm here. You're boyfriend is a lucky man," he said before cursing in his head.

William went to his room and checked it out.

"Damn!"

After checking out the room, he went to a nearby upscale men's store and walked out with a few thousand dollars in new clothes, all on the house. He went to his room and changed into a nice pair of jeans and a silk dress shirt. He went down to check out more of the hotel. It had a spacious covered patio between the hotel and the pool. William went out and saw a casually dressed, but still elegant looking woman checking out something on an iPad. He arched an eyebrow.

William walked by and smiled.

The woman looked up and smiled politely.

"Excuse me," he said.

"Yes?"

"Aren't you Joseph Van Dieman's girlfriend?"

"Are you trying to suss out if I'm single," said the woman with a smirk.

"No, trust me. I'm an honest guy."

"Oh, OK, then. No, I don't have any boyfriend."

"That's nice," thought William.
