going deep

the group decides to move the camp deeper into the jungle, they know it is dangerous, but it is useless for them to stay where they are with the exploring needing to be done. Most of the day they hike through the forest, but stop after about three hours having found a cluster of unknown plants. The plants are man sized, but live in holes, so only their tops are seen by the scientists, they seem to be bell like inn shape with a long stalk coming up from the bottom with a big red glowing ball at the tip. One of the men theorizes that it is likely a trapper, and lures unsuspecting animals with the red ball, the animals would fall into the pit and likely be unable to get out because of the slimy walls.

Samora however cant help but notice some more of the slime from before on a tree trunk, it trails up into the tree disappearing into the leaves.
