You saw some bubbles on the surface as you had to cut the rope not to lose all of it.

Then the water exploded.

The blue-skinned girl was on top of a giant squidlike creature. No, she was the top of the creature, under her comely face, bare arms and nice pair of boobs, everything bellow the waist was missing.

Her blue skin turned to purple below her slender waist and where her legs should be instead is a huge circular maw full of razor sharp teeth and six giant eyes spaced evenly around the monster's core.
