After two hours of study, the symbols start to... coalesce. As you pant and perspire, you realize that you've been able to absorb enough of the dark magic in the tome that the runes start to make sense. You've reached a sort of terrible understanding, and your mind and soul reel a little from the new and horrible knowledge.
Now that you've attuned your mind to it, it should be possible to learn dark spells with further study, spells that may aid you on your quest. You try not to dwell on the feeling of slime coating your spirit. Whatever it takes.
