Your boss asks you on his office

You knock on his door, softly.

"Come in." You hear him say.

"You called me, sir?" You ask as you open the door and stand there, always oh-so-politely.

"Yes, Mr Doe. Please, sit down."

You close the door behind you and walk to your seat. You sit down, awkwardly.

You boss is a huge, tall, handsome man. At his early 40s he is stronger and more muscular than you would ever dream of be. You have always had an immense respect for him.

"You have done so much for this company." He starts "It wouldn't be the same without you, and I want you to know how grateful I am of having you working for me during all thise years. But things have changed. The world is changing and the company needs to adapt to it's changes. And that's why..." He makes a pause, looking deeply into your eyes, "I'll have to fire you".

Your world collapses. He's going to...Fire you? After everything you did for him? Your head hurts and you feel a deep pain in your heart, as if he just pulled it out and squeezed it with full-strenght.

"Please, sir, you can't do this to me, this job is everything I have." You say, ****, trying so hard not to start crying.

He looks at you and you can see pity in his eyes. You feel weak and miserable as you wait him to make a decision.
