Your background notes about the town

Your persistent googling found out that the there's been a village in this spot since at least 1068, the time of the Norman Conquest, and it seemed pretty well established then. The curious thing is that there's been very little in the way of news reports or notable events in the area ever since - even the tiniest town usually bring up pages of results on google, but not the village of Spurting Spent. Aside form a few mentions of the local facilities, and the very infrequent mention on the news sites, there's next to nothing. It's as if news from the area is being deliberately suppressed - which, combined with the disappearances in the area, makes it even more suspicious.

The only other mentions you found of it were on feminist and femdom forums and websites, where it's talked about in a very jokey and secretive fashion. There's post from girls dreaming of moving there, and other hinting that they wish they could punish there exes by sending them there. There's the very occasional one from a man who's been there, which talk about the place as if it's combination heaven and hell - more sex than you could dream of, but the girls don't know when to stop. Any posts that mention it though seem to vanish after a few days.

All of this has convinced you that there's something major going on here. If you can just hang out in town for a little while, then get back home and write about what you've seen, you're sure it'll be a story you can sell for enough money to finally pay off your student debts and...

A shadow falls over the table and you look up. The two girls who were playing pool are standing right next to you, staring at you unsmiling. The goth is still holding her pool cue, rolling it slowly between her long pale fingers.
