You take on Athena first.

You figured out the plan, so it only makes sense that you should be the one to try to throw a wrench in it. The bell rings, and you and Athena approach each other warily.

You figure she won’t go for a lockup—if you’ve got her pegged right, she’ll want to get you in a submission hold as fast as she can rather than jockeying for position. Best be prepared for punches or kicks.

You’re confused for a moment when Athena starts to raise her arms for the lockup you just decided she wouldn’t do, but then her stoicism drops just a fraction for a tiny smirk and you realize what’s going on.

You barely manage to block the punch she was feinting to land, and then duck under a nasty-looking roundhouse kick that misses you so narrowly you can feel her foot brushing through your hair.

Thinking fast, you grab the leg she’s balancing on while she kicks and yank with all your might, pulling it out from under her. She comes crashing to the mat with a heavy thud and a very un-Goddess-like curse, and out of the corner of her eye you see Aphrodite wince as she watches her partner fall.

“Looks like the Goddess of Wisdom isn’t quite all-knowing after all,” the announcer observes dryly as Athena struggles to rise.
